Talavera-Style Tile Design in Acrylics

Design a tile divided into quarters, creating a radial design using symmetry and fluid acrylic paints.

Supply list:

• Acrylic paints
• Your choice of surface. Options below:
  • watercolor paper (140 lb. or heavier suggested), cut down to 9” x 9” or 8” x 8”
  • 8” x 8” square canvas
  • four 3” to 5” square wooden tiles
• HB graphite pencil
• Eraser (soap eraser suggested)
• Ruler
• Round acrylic brush, #6 or #8
• Container of water
• Paper towel
• Optional: Tracing paper
• Optional: Drawing compass

This online workshop is facilitated by Gloria Garcia. Instruction is provided for free; participants are responsible for gathering their own supplies.
