Join NOLS for a free public reception, documentary screening, and panel discussion related to the National Library of Medicine's traveling exhibit, Care & Custody: Past Responses to Mental Health.
A short panel discussion will follow the film screening of Bedlam, the first major documentary to explore the crisis in care of severely mentally-ill patients in America.
Panelists include Brian King, Sheriff of Clallam County; Larry Jackson Sr., Elder and Community Member; Rachelle Nicholas, Health Services Manager, Clallam Bay Corrections Center; Jolene Kron, Executive Director of Salish Behavioral Health Administrative Services Organization; and others.
Attendees will be able to view the traveling exhibit banners at the event. The exhibit is on display April 2-17, open to the public Monday-Thursday, 9am-5pm.
