Write a story with a professional picture book author-illustrator!
Author Rachel Michelle Wilson will read aloud from her book, To Catch a Ghost. Then, participants will brainstorm and illustrate ghost characters together and write a story about them—ending with a show-and-tell of stories!
About the Author
Rachel Michelle Wilson is a children’s book author-illustrator with a sweet tooth and a dash of sass. Her debut How to Pee Your Pants: the Right Way (Macmillan) was selected as one of Kirkus Reviews Best Picture Books of 2024 and an ALSC Notable Children’s Book of 2025. Her latest picture book To Catch a Ghost (Scholastic) is about a new girl determined to trap a ghost for show-and-tell. When Rachel is not making books, you can find her paddle boarding across lakes, puzzling over logic problems, or hosting living room dance parties.
