Compose poetry as you walk.
Gather to enjoy a brief talk from Amos Almy, Visitor Services Manager at the Dungeness Refuge. Then compose poetry as you walk without talking or interacting. After about 30 minutes, walkers will convene and share aloud the lines they've just memorized, if desired. Lines can be about anything. After people share, walkers may write down what they’ve come up with.
All ages are welcome to this free event. Meet at the entrance to the trail down to the Spit. Attendees should be comfortable walking for 30 minutes.
Hosted by Clallam County Poet Laureate Nellie Bridge.
The Clallam County Poet Laureate position is supported by the North Olympic Library Foundation and Clallam County. Programs are supported in part by local Friends of the Library groups.
