The League of Women Voters of Clallam County encourages all citizens living in Clallam County to submit questions for upcoming September and October candidate forums. These candidate forums in advance of the November 4 election will take place via Zoom, allowing people from across the county a chance to see and hear the candidates.

Concise, unbiased questions directly related to the position, its policies, and the leadership skills required will be given priority, and similar questions will be combined. LWVCLA strives to ensure that questions reflect a wide range of concerns from the county, and questions are never released to any candidates in advance of the forums. Please submit your questions via email to info@lwvcla.org at least three days prior to each forum.

HOSPITAL COMMISSIONER DISTRICT 2, POSITION 2, 2 CANDIDATES

Tuesday, September 30 at 7:00 PM. Confirmed participants: Ann Marie Henninger and Gerald Stephanz. Questions due by 5 PM on September 27.

PORT OF PORT ANGELES, 4 CANDIDATES FOR 2 POSITIONS

Thursday, October 2 at 5:30 PM. Confirmed participants: Colleen McAleer (Position 1) and Steven Burke (Position 2). NOTE: Nate Adkisson (Position 1) withdrew from race but is still on the ballot. Allen Sawyer (Position 2) declined to participate. Questions due by 5 PM on September 29.

PORT ANGELES CITY COUNCIL, 2 CANDIDATES

Thursday, October 2 at 7:00 PM. Confirmed participant: Drew Schwab, who will read a two minute statement only, as Tyler Slater withdrew from race but is still on the ballot. Questions due by 5 PM on September 29.

SEQUIM FIRE DEPARTMENT, POSITION 3, 2 CANDIDATES

Tuesday, October 7 at 5:30 PM. Confirmed participants: Mike Taggart and Bill Miano. Questions due by 5 PM on October 4.
