Marvel at balloon artistry and fire dancing, meet Pete the Cat, get a free book, and enjoy a meal together!
In honor of Día del Niño (Children's Day), the Forks Library and the Concerned Citizens of Forks are excited to announce a fantastic free event dedicated to celebrating all children in Forks and nearby communities, including La Push, Hoh River, and Clallam Bay. This family-friendly gathering aims to foster a sense of community and joy among local children.
The highlight of the event will be Matthew Davis, known as “The Tacoma Twister,” who will showcase his extraordinary balloon artistry. He will craft a variety of balloon creations for the children, ensuring that each child leaves with a colorful and imaginative balloon to take home.
Adding to the excitement, Heather Sky will present a thrilling 30-minute fire dancing performance. This mesmerizing display of fire artistry will take place outdoors, allowing for an unobstructed view while prioritizing the safety of all attendees, regardless of the weather conditions.
Throughout the event, children will have numerous opportunities to win both small and large prizes, making the day even more exciting. Every child will also receive a complimentary book to encourage reading and spark their imagination as they take it home.
Beloved children's character "Pete the Cat" will make a special appearance. Kids will have the unique opportunity to meet Pete in person, engage with him, and take memorable photographs with the mascot. Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras to capture the joyful moments as children interact with this iconic character!
Dinner will be provided.
Join us for this wonderful celebration of childhood, where fun, creativity, and community spirit come together!
