Adulting 101
Pathway to Success for Teens
Tuesday, June 30
10:00am - 11:00am
Forks Branch Library
Jim and Nikki Klahn Community Meeting RoomAsk local managers questions about getting hired, what employers seek, and tips for landing your first job.
Join us for a Pathway to Success “Adulting” program designed to help teens learn more about the world of work.
This one-hour event will feature an interactive Q&A panel where teens can ask local managers questions about topics such as job qualifications, work ethic, interview tips, workplace expectations, and how to gain experience even if it’s your first time applying for a job. Panelists will share their real-world experiences hiring and working with teens, offering helpful advice and insight into what makes a strong applicant.
This is not a hiring event, but rather a chance for teens to learn, ask questions, and better understand the hiring process in a relaxed and supportive environment. Whether you are thinking about getting your first job soon or just want to learn more about what employers expect, this program is a great opportunity to build confidence and prepare for future employment.
Local managers from several organizations will participate in the panel, including representatives from Quileute Enterprises, NOLS Human Resources, and Forks Outfitters. Teens are encouraged to bring their questions and take advantage of this opportunity to connect with professionals from their community and gain valuable advice about starting their career journey.
