Why are bees and pollinators important for our food supply? Presenter Tami Baeder of Miss Bee Haven Apiary-PNW will share information about the importance of pollinators. She will also talk about the different kinds of honeybees, their anatomy, and their roles within a hive. There will also be a full-sized bee hive (minus the bees) to explore!
About the Presenter
Tami Baeder has lived in Port Angeles since 2018 and began beekeeping under her mentor Jeremiah Johnson in 2019. His family founded Miss Bee Haven Apiary in Utah. Baeder took over the PNW chapter of the company two years ago and runs over 50 hives a year between Port Angeles and Sequim!
Discovery Club Series
Discovery Club is a weekly summer program for kids in grades K–5 and their families/caregivers. From art to science, kids will find many ways to have fun, meet new friends, and try new things. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
