Sequim Community Meeting RoomEarn a Babysitting Training Certification in this hybrid course for ages 11-15.
Have you ever thought about becoming a babysitter but just don’t know where to begin?
If you are between the ages of 11 and 15, join Molly French of the Olympic Peninsula YMCA for this Babysitting Course that will go over topics such as Basic First Aid, babysitting as a business, leadership skills, safety, injury prevention and basic care-giving skills.
You will learn skills for providing basic care, safe play, and first aid while developing your leadership techniques and professionalism. Successful completion will result in your Babysitting Certification.
This babysitting course features "blended" learning with 19 entertaining video lessons that last 2-7 minutes and an in-person training. Each student must watch these videos before attending the in-person, 3-hour class at the Sequim Branch Library. Snacks provided at the in-person workshop!
Pre-registration is required with email and phone number. Online coursework should be completed in advance of the in-person portion. Library card not required to register.
Please cancel registration in advance if you are no longer able to attend to free up space for additional participants.
